Kay Yow Concert Series

The Mann Center of North Carolina is honored to present the Kay Yow Concert Series … 3 outstanding shows benefiting the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. Please join us to recognize NC State’s legendary Women’s Basketball Coach and support the cause she was devoted to.

The Kay Yow Cancer Fund is dedicated to playing a role in finding answers in the fight against ALL cancers affecting women.  To date, this non-profit organization has raised over $7.5 million through a wide range of charitable events that are earmarked specifically for cancer research and to aid underserved cancer patients.

Now the Mann Center is proud to play its part, by bringing the Kay Yow Cancer Fund Concert Series to Sanford and central North Carolina. It’s 3 entertaining shows at the start of 2020, with a percentage of all proceeds going directly to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. Be sure to tell your friends, and join them in Sanford for concerts you’re sure to enjoy!

The Mann Center would also like to thank our performers and sponsors for being a part of this important entertainment series. In addition to the Mann Center, each performing act will be donating a percentage of their proceeds to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.

This amazing quartet has perfectly captured the true authenticity of the legendary Statler Brothers sound, keeping the legacy alive and promoting traditional country music. If you have a love for Southern Gospel quartet music, you’ll want to be in attendance for this memorable concert event. American Pride group members are Bill Tomlinson, Mike Whetsel, Jimmy Whetsel, and Jamie Lambert. Each is honored to represent the legendary heritage of The Statler Brothers. Plan on joining us for this special concert on Saturday evening January 11. Doors open at 6pm. Show begins at 7:00pm.

Sanford’s very own Workin’ On Commission takes the Mann Center stage on Saturday night January 25 for a house rockin’ show you’re sure to enjoy. WOC covers the full classic rock songbook with songs from favorite acts like Journey, REO Speedwagon, ZZ Top, Marshall Tucker Band, The Eagles, Pat Benatar, Tom Petty, Guns ‘N’ Roses, Poison, Van Halen, Jackson Browne, Queen and so many more!  Doors open at 6pm. Show begins at 7:00pm.

Get ready for a fun-filled Friday evening, when the NC Revelers Orchestra, featuring the best music of the Big Band Era and modern classics from the Great American Songbook, makes its triumphant return to Pomeranz Auditorium at the Mann Center of North Carolina on February 28. The band will be presenting a show called A Big Band Salute – Sounds of the Great 40s Bands. Show tunes and standards from the likes of Frank Sinatra and Glenn Miller will fill the air for this great evening of enjoyment. Doors open at 6pm. Show begins at 7:00pm.
